Hello, my wife had an appointment this morning. She called in at 9am yesterday as requested by the person who called us back the day before only to find there were no appointments left for yesterday so she got up very early today and arrived at 7.45am. She was given an appointment at 10.15 so she returned to see the doctor. She was told by the doctor that it was wrong to come to the clinic and expect treatment and even though she was English she was admonished and the words used were how would I (the doctor) get treated if I was to come to England and ask for treatment? She made my wife very uncomfortable then gave her a prescription for the medication she needed then she opened the door without speaking to usher her out! I can inform you that although the National Health Service in The UK is under pressure and has been undermined and underfunded by our Conservative government for 14 years we always treat foreigners from every country in the world with utmost respect, do not charge them and give them the means to get the treatment they require even if it involves hospitalisation without hesitation. Could you kindly inform the doctor who insulted my wife that this is the case! Thank you, Robert Darlington on behalf of my wife Heather. Who was very ill and did not deserve to be treated like this.
